School sports have been the same for a long time, but this survey proves that things have changed. When asked about Requested School Teams, swimming and tennis both got 14.9% each, followed by Badminton at 10.6%. Pickleball and table tennis secured 8.5% each, while Baseball had a total of 6.4%. But interestingly, a significant 36.2% of people chose single-vote sports, such as karting, and climbing.
But what do people think the next big/popular sport will be, pickleball is the most picked, with it getting 22.6% of the votes, which is much more picked than sports like Football/Soccer, which got 13.2%, both basketball and volleyball got 11.3%, with tennis, baseball and F1 ending last, each being picked by 7.5% of people.
Moving on, we asked people what sports they thought were cool or/and fun. Basketball, football/soccer, and volleyball all have the same number of people who picked them at 15.3% each, with badminton getting 11.8%, and tennis with 3.5%, rugby, table tennis, rock climbing, and bowling all got 2.4% which makes them the lowest on the chart.
However, a lot of people think that no sports are lame or boring, which makes none, the single largest category at 31.1% picked. Yet, intense or widely played sports face the most criticism, an example is basketball, which has the most picks as boring at 20%, followed by Football with a 13.3%, and pickleball with 8.9%, but 26.7% of people listed various single-vote sports as lame or boring because it tires them or it requires a lot of physical energy.
So with that, the survey sends a clear message that it is time for our sport programs to adapt and make room for new sports on campus.

So in conclusion, while games like basketball remain popular, expanding our sport programs to include rising favorites like pickleball, swimming, and badminton will make sure there is a sport for every student.
