Have you wondered which book genres our students like to read? Well, fear not, bookworms. I've crunched the numbers and have the actual data for you. Starting off with 4.3 for adventure. Apparently, not many of us like immersing ourselves in a brand-new book world in the middle of the night when we can't sleep.

Next up, with a rating of 4.8 out of 10, twists and turns, cryptic riddles, and clues to solve a thrilling mystery — the Mystery genre. Respondents concluded that they like solving cryptic clues and decoding ciphers with the characters of a thrilling book. (Come to me for suggestions!)

Tied with an average rating of 5.3 out of 10, it’s dystopian and sci-fi. Apparently, half of our respondents enjoyed indulging themselves in corrupt governments and people landing on Mars in 2080. I assume most of you who read the dystopian genre might think that what is written in the books actually comes from real-life events because of how dystopian the US seems right now, and you all genuinely might be correct.

"And welcome back to Hogwarts," Dumbledore says, with a glint in his eyes, shining through his half-moon spectacles. "Before we begin with the term announcements — boring commentary, I shall reveal the winner of our Hogwarts Genre Battle. (Drum Roll here) The winner is Fantasy, with a joint average rating of 6.3 out of 10, given by hundreds of Hogwarts bookworms, and this is no small feat; it narrowly beat genres like Dystopian and Sci-Fi, which is previously unheard of with our impressive collection of history books and bedside tales."

And finally, the nagging question that has us at the edge of our seats: Will fantasy still be top after this semester, or will some other genre take the crown? Well, stay tuned, bookworms!
